AN EVENT RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM

Fr. Laurence Freeman OSB, Spiritual Director of the World Community of Christian Meditation (WCCM) and recipient of the Order of Canada for interfaith dialogue, will be hosting a one-night only, in-person event on the theme “The Ever-Present Origin.”

“Under the stresses of modern living, we easily become uprooted and scattered, living fragmentary and distracted lives and yet,
even when living in this way, we are not far from the kingdom, the 'ever-present origin' which is the presence of God in all places and at all times. Meditation re-roots us in this experience of real presence.”

Fr. Laurence is a monk of the Benedictine Congregation of Monte Oliveto Maggiore. Patrons of the WCCM are Cardinal Walter Kasper, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Cardinal John Tong Hon, Cardinal Sean Brady and Vatican Foreign Minister Archbishop Paul Gallagher.
