Cardinal's Dinner with Archbishop Francis Leo

A Brief History of the Cardinal’s Dinner

Founded by Gerald Emmett Cardinal Carter, the late archbishop believed business, political and religious groups should join together in fellowship, sharing a mutual responsibility to strengthen the communities in which we work, live and worship.

The event has grown to become Canada's largest annual dinner. The head table includes representation from government, religious and business leaders.

The Cardinal's Dinner is primarily a community dinner with fundraising a secondary goal. Yet over the years, close to $6 million has been raised and allocated to local charities not fully funded by traditional sources. Over 30 charities benefit from the dinner proceeds each year.

Thank you for supporting the Cardinal’s Dinner!
