On Sunday June 30, 2024, young adult ministry leaders from Spiritus East, West, York, and Durham region took time out of their long weekend to reflect on the 2023-2024 pastoral ministry season. The core leaders retreat was hosted at St. Augustine’s Seminary in Scarborough. Fr. Michael Corpus, Vice Rector of the seminary, graciously hosted and led the young adults through a thoughtful retreat experience.

This retreat occurs at the end of each ministry year and is an opportunity for the core team to discern their recommitment for another ministry year. Fr. Corpus focused his talks on helping the young adults recall their first encounter with Jesus, their call to mission, and the creation of their plan of life. 

The retreat offered a time for prayer and reflection, as well as an opportunity for fellowship and growth. Before the conclusion of the retreat, the core members gathered to share their thoughts and experiences throughout the past year and started the initial planning for the new ministry year in the fall. 
 
As regional young adult ministry goes on break for the summer, we ask for your continued prayers for the young adult community.
